Abuja Buildings

Julius Berger completed the construction of three impressive buildings in Nigeria's capital Abuja - the new office of the Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF), the head office of PrimeTech Design and Engineering Nigeria Ltd. and the Centenary City showroom. The turnkey buildings demonstrate Julius Berger's capacities to deliver holistic solutions that meet individual client's needs.

Admiralty Alexander (Lekki-Ikoyi) Link Bridge, Lagos

Julius Berger’s pioneering role in technological development is showcased through construction of the Lekki-Ikoyi (Admiralty-Alexander) Link Bridge in Lagos. Featuring impressive pylon and cable-stayed construction, technology never before used in Nigeria, the modern landmark connects two highly frequented districts – providing considerable relief to existing traffic routes in the economic center of Nigeria.

Akwa Ibom Stadium Complex, Uyo

In Uyo, Julius Berger constructed a multi-purpose sports complex with a total infrastructure area of 32ha to accommodate up to 30,000 spectators. The world-class sports complex meets global standards for stadium architecture, featuring complete athletics facilities including an arena, football pitch and eight-lane track. Due to its innovative façade design, the Akwa Ibom Stadium Complex is not only a modern stadium, but also a landmark in Nigeria.

Central Bank of Nigeria, Lagos

Having previously constructed the Central Bank of Nigeria head office in Abuja, Julius Berger has also rebuilt the Bank’s Branch Office in Lagos. Further to solving the logistical challenges of working in the center of the densely-populated megacity, geotechnical experts carried out comprehensive subsoil investigations in order to determine adequate pile construction for the 100 meter high-rise building.

Edo Cement Plant, Okpella

In Okpella, Julius Berger constructed the Edo Cement Plant, a greenfield plant with a final output of 6,000 t clinker per day. Julius Berger was responsible for site preparation, including site clearing, earth works and the required road works. Additionally, the company’s civil scope included the construction of a 97 meter high pre-heater tower and cement silos.
