Inauguration of Lekki-Ikoyi Link-Bridge, constructed and built by Julius Berger Nigeria PLC
On May 29, 2013, Mr. Babatunde Raj Fashola, Governor of Lagos State, inaugurated the Lekki-Ikoyi Link Bridge, designed and built by Julius Berger Nigeria PLC. The first cable-stayed bridge in West Africa links two highly frequented districts of Lagos, Victoria Island and Lekki.
The 1.357 meter long bridge with a 91 meter high impressive pylon and cable-stayed construction, technology never before used in Nigeria, represent Julius Berger’s pioneering role in technological development.
Delivered on schedule, Julius Berger Nigeria deployed cutting-edge technology to deliver a true symbol of a mega city that is Lagos State.
