The CSR workshop consisted of four lectures/ practical lessons, which took place over a 10 day period. Thirty students, ages 15-18, were each given an art supply kit to use during their participation. The workshop was crafted to provide knowledge on basic art principles and painting techniques. The lessons were taught by independent artist Mr. Stanley Anyanwu, who was commissioned by JBN.

The subject matter of the workshop was “togetherness”. Students created paintings that reflected what this topic meant to them, specifically during the holiday season.

The student’s art was judged by a panel of JBN team members and the three winning works were chosen to be reproduced as the theme of the company’s 2011 Christmas cards.

All students received certificates of completion for their successful participation in the arts education workshop. Those students whose works were reproduced were given special gifts for their accomplishment.
