In support of the Federal and State Government’s efforts to ensure Nigeria’s preparedness in the face of the Covid-19 pandemic, Julius Berger Nigeria Plc (Julius Berger) has donated specialized hospital beds towards the setup of an isolation center within the Idu industrial area in Abuja.
On April 21, 2020, Julius Berger delivered a total of 150 hospital grade beds to the 300-bed isolation center, along with 150 mattresses, pillows and cases, bed sheets and lockers. The Isolation Center has been set up by the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA) to provide care for patients who are Covid-19 positive in the Federal Capital Territory, where a growing number of cases have been reported.
In addition, the company donated and installed two mobile offices and two guard posts within the central area of the nation’s capital, to support with general security measures.
Julius Berger’s contributions are part of a larger corporate social responsibility campaign, which the Company has rolled out in support of the fight against Covid-19 in Nigeria.
