Over the weekend of May 9, 2020, Julius Berger Nigeria Plc’s (Julius Berger) Covid-19 response efforts pushed further North, bringing its Food for our Communities campaign to Kaduna State and Kano State where the Company delivered 36,000 kilograms of food supplies to communities in need.
In Kaduna State, the Kawo District, Rigachukun District and Zaria District received food relief packages, containing rice, cooking oil and other kitchen essentials. The same food relief packages were distributed to the Bebeji, Kura and Garun Mallam Districts in Kano State.
Since the launch of its Food for our Communities campaign, Julius Berger has donated over 100,000 Kilograms of food supplies to communities.
The Company remains dedicated to supporting the fight to curb the Covid-19 pandemic in Nigeria and minimize its impact on citizens. In addition to supplementing communities’ access to staple food supplies, Julius Berger has donated needed resources such as beds and personal protective equipment to hospitals and healthcare facilities, as well as supporting Federal and State efforts towards sanitation and safety.
